Fancy Kitty LITTLE TOM drum carder motorization kit for all LITTLE TOM Carders

In keeping with our philosophy of low cost high end features, it has the following features:
1. It uses a more expensive gear drive motor that turns slowly allowing the use of small pulleys, but has a
great amount of torque (turning power). It also uses tooth belt pulleys that feature the same no slip quality of
chain drive, but with no required maintenance and very quite operation.
2. It has fully adjustable speed control, from 0 to 60 rounds (on the swift) per minute. (Because the motor
drives the swift, it will have the same 4 to 1 ratio on the swift to licker-in. Just like turning it by hand.)
3. It is reversible.
4. It will work with our brush attachment.
5. For our current customers, it will EASILY install on your existing Little Tom carder.
6. The entire assembly which consists of a frame, two pulleys, gear head motor, motor controller with speed
control/on off switch/reverse switch, tooth belt, power supply, and power cord will be contained in an
approximately 3.5 inch tall red oak frame that will fit under the existing Kitten drum carder and match perfectly.
This gives our customers the ability to purchase a full sized, full featured, motorized drum carder for about the
same price as our competitors standard manual drum carders.
The frame is 5.5" tall and the total height of the Little Tom is 12.5". The length is 22.5" long.
This carder comes standard with a brush attachment and has an optional single-motor motorization Kit that is functionally the same as the "Kitten" motorization kit which can be purchased with the carder or later on..........please see our other Little Tom listings.
The Little Tom has the same 4 to 1 feed to card ratio as the “Kitten”. No clamps required, and you can card in the middle of a table. It is constructed with 3/4" solid American red oak & has a gorgeous Tung Oil finish. It is 22.5" long, 12" wide, and 12.5" tall, weighing 21 pounds.
The Little Tom features a 8.5" wide, 12" tall swift equipped with the tpi carding cloth of your choice, which will create a batt 38" long. The Licker-in is equipped with coordinating carding cloth. Both axles run in sealed ball bearings for super smooth & maintenance free operation.
All "Tom" carders come with a thorough instruction manual, an 8" x 3" burnishing brush, doffer hook, and several other helpful tools as pictured above.
We offer an auxiliary drum assembly that can be changed by removing and reinstalling the four swift adjusting screws in another listing. It is an option available in various cloth densities. This means you can card any type fiber with ONE drum carder.
