The Kitten Wide is a manually operated drum carder using a 17" wide x 22" circumference swift, licker, and feed tray, all with a lovely tung oil finish. It uses the same drive system as the Fancy Kitty Kitten.
The frame is 5.5" tall and the total height of the Kitten Wide is 12". The length is 15", and the weight is 17 pounds.
This carder comes standard with a brush attachment . The Kitten wide also comes with a thorough instruction manual, an 8" x 3" burnishing brush, doffer hook, and several other handy tools . We've also widened the space between the carding drum and the carder frame for extra ease when removing any fallen tangled fiber.
The Kitten Wide has the same 4 to 1 feed to card ratio as the “Kitten”. It is constructed with 3/4" solid American red oak & has a gorgeous Tung Oil finish. It is 15" long, 20" wide, and 12" tall.
The Kitten Wide features a 17" wide, 8" tall swift equipped with the carding cloth of your choice, which will create a batt 22" long. The Licker-in is equipped with a coordinating tpi carding cloth.
Both axles run in sealed ball bearings for super smooth & maintenance free operation.
We offer an auxiliary drum assembly that can be changed by removing and reinstalling the four swift adjusting screws. It is an option available in the following available in various cloth densities......please see our other listings for the auxiliary drums. This means you can card any type fiber with ONE drum carder.
