I got my Fancy kitty picker yesterday. I love it! I had bought a cheaper box picker before and it tore my superfine fibers and made so many noils. It was a disaster. I guess you get what you pay for. I couldn’t wait to see how your little box picker worked, I made my first batt within 30 minutes after taking it out of the box. I used the same fleece I used on the other picker and lo and behold there is virtually almost no noils in my 15 micron merino locks. Just a beautiful cloud. Drum carded it and it’s just gorgeous. Thanks for making a great AMERICAN product. My poor little sore fingers thank you too.

I am a newbie spinner and I have been trying to successfully spin a beautiful top of BFL. I was ready to cash in my spinning wheel because I couldn’t get my yarn to be consistent. It was driving me bonkers. I decided to get the Fancy kitty Blending Board and see if I could make rolags from the top. I made my first one last night, sat down to the wheel and my gosh--what a difference! I have consistent yarn and I wasn’t killing my fingers to make it that way. This is the first pleasant moment I’ve had since trying to teach myself to spin. Thank you, Fancy kitty ! I am a new fan!

I just love my Fancy kitty Blending Palette! The craftmanship is outstanding! (Not to mention the sealer smells delish~ just like ripe oranges!) My first set of rolags was beautiful, a bit thick and thin, but it spun like butter! Very easy to draft.

I have in the past avoided rolags as I found them harder to draft consistently (Just me I’m sure- not the rolags fault). I don’t do well with hand carders, so I didn’t hold out much hope of making excellent rolags. I was going to be content on just fair ones~ LOL!!! I was astounded on how easy it was to make great rolags on the first try! Even better was that they were so easy to draft. I’m sold on these and will tell anyone who will stand still long enough how great they are!

Many thanks Fancy kitty for making an excellent product that is worth every penny!

Just got my Fancy kitty goodies today--a Kitten Carder (90/120), Mini-Picker, burnishing brush, fiber teaser board, and doffer hook!

I’ve already used the mini-picker to open up some washed alpaca--it was so easy! I also love how adjustable it is--I was able to close the gap between the teeth so quickly, and was able to make small adjustments till it was picking how I wanted. My compacted locks turned into a fluffy alpaca cloud. It was SO much faster than fluffing them up by hand, even running the locks through twice! This is going to be such a timesaver--EVERYONE that processes fleece should have one, IMHO. :-)

I then took the fluffified alpaca and carded it on the Kitten, and got a wonderful fluffy batt of alpaca, so of course I had to grab a drop spindle and spin a bit.

As an anniversary gift my husband took me to visit the Fancy Kitty workshop and deliver my drum carder for upgrading to motorized. I would like to thank Lemar and Chris for the fabulous job they did on motorizing my drum carder. The craftsmanship is beautiful and anyone would be hard pressed to tell it was not original. Carding 4+ oz batts is now a breeze. Also my new blending board is awesome and having a wonderful time blending and spinning fabulous art yarns.

I thoroughly enjoyed the trip(s) to Downing, MO, meeting Lemar and Chris, and seeing how all these wonderful fiber tools are made. Thank you again, you two are the best.

I love my new blending board! It arrived on time even during the busy holiday shipping season. What I loved even more than the board is the enclosed Thank You card with a personal note of thanks! I will definitely be ordering my drum card from you in the near future!

Hi there,
You list 4 different tpi sizes for the cloth on your blending boards. Can I switch the cloth out of these, or is it 1 cloth per board, pre-assembled?

Thank you.

Hello,
No the cloth is not interchangeable. We use staples and glue to fasten the cloth to the board, this ensures it will not tear off will it is being used. Thanks.

My husband surprised me with the much needed tumbler for Christmas! It arrived 1 day early and packed impeccable! Since he was busy I put the whole tumbler together by myself with no issues! The directions were awesome and the tumbler is very well made! I haven't played much with it yet other than trying a small bit of alpaca. But I think with 17 alpacas this is going to help me out a lot! Not sure how it will do with my wool but I'll try it out and see! Thank you very much for a beautiful product!

Hi, I would like to see a city and state on your home page for where you are located and it would be really helpful to have a list of largest to smallest (or vice versa) carders. I get a bit confused with the kitty names. Not sure if anyone else feels this way, but info at a glance is really helpful.

I just love my little tom and am ready to purchase a LION! the 17" motorized carder. :)

Please tell me how the adjustments are made to mini wool picker, I can’t see how from your images and there is no explanation. I can’t find any info on it. Thank you very much.

I love my Kitten drum carder! I have been processing somewhat coarser Romney Fleeces and it handles that quite well. Since I also purchased an extra drum for processing finer fibers, that has also worked out very nicely for alpaca fibers. I wish I could send you a picture of the piles of beautiful fiber batts that I made for one of the spinning competitions organized through Ravelry!
